Jump On Jjamppong!

For your viewing pleasure, here is one of our favorite commercials. Jjamppong, as you will see, is a spicy Korean seafood noodle. Take careful note of the last scene – it’s our favorite.

Kudos to Thing 1 for embedding this video on the blog.

Question of the Day: expensive shampoo or cheap? What are your thoughts? Any touts?

You say what?! Very funny commercial. I am an expensive shampoo user. I heard that it doesn’t make a difference, but I find the more expensive shampoos are easier on my scalp, less irritation. I don’t know if your sisters will comment seeing that they don’t shampoo their hair anymore. Gross!

I have a lot of hair. Done it all with shampoos. Find that Pantene (cheap) works better than almost anything expensive, plus you can get it at Costco. Enough said.

425 Heidi – For the record, I am shampooing once a week now. Per my expensive hairdresser, however, it’s not necessary to use shampoo at all.

MRM – Does your hairdresser live with anyone? Because if he did, they would point out that he has dandruff, and his hair is oily and stinky.

  5. MCV

I have watched this video several times and for the life of me don’t get it.

Expensive shampoo–but you don’t need much as MRM points out. Especially if you only wash every 2 weeks or so.

425Heidi, not everyone is blessed with perfect hair. Some of us have the equivalent of horse’s hair. Tail hair that is. Doesn’t require much shampoo. If you over do it, it goes haywire.

I’m finding “never” washing my hair might have been a tad extreme. However once a week is too much for me. My hair looks better when slightly “dirty”. That’s not to say we don’t get it wet and scrub the scalp.

  6. Sarah P

I was always an inexpensive user until I moved to the Philippines. The water here is awful and my hair became so dried out that I “needed” the expensive shampoo or at least the expensive conditioner.

  7. Winnie

In this economy I’d say cheap, but in any event, either is better than bar soap!

  8. Mood Ring Mama

    425Heidi – Meow! 🙂

  9. Meow is right! Whoa!!!! Maybe 425Heidi has perfect hair because she lavishes it with specially formulated shampoos??? Juan-derful though he may be, even Vagner would not agree with his philosophy.

I am a most everyday washer, for sure if I exercise. I agree with Sarah P’s comment about harsh water … I have the same problem here but am using a cheap/expensive combo since I am washing my hair so frequently. Raftbuddy a.k.a. Rapunzel would be the expert on this matter so to her I must defer and ask her to bring me a bottle.
